Master Bond C-Bond #18 is a one component alumina based ceramic adhesive system for service over the exceptionally wide temperature range of -380°F to +3000°F. It is composed of completely inorganic materials and cures readily at moderately evelated temperatures to form a strong hard white colored ceramic with superior adhesion to both dense and porous ceramics as well as graphites, quartz, mica, refractors and also various metals including, silicon, tantalum and platenum. Master Bond C-Bond #18 features desirably low thermal expansion coefficients, high thermal shock resistance and outstanding resistance to oxidation. It's electrical insulating characteristics are excellent and unaffected by exposures to moisture, etc. Master Bond C-Bond #18 is highly resistant to the action of organic solvents, salts, alkalis and most all acids. It is supplied as a dispensable paste with a moderate viscosity. Shelf life is 6 months minimum at ambient temperatures in the original closed containers. Master Bond C-Bond #18 is widely used in the electronics, electrical and process industries for applications ranging from bonding thermocouple leads and instrument end seals to metal ceramic composites and the like. It also produces high performance adherent coatings on a variety of substrates.
