Master Bond EP41-lND epoxy resin system is a solvent free, two component epoxy resin composition which cures readily at ambient temperatures to produce durable, hard, tough and extremely corrosion resistant linings and coatings. It is prepared for use by mixing the resin (A) and hardener (B) components with a noncritical 100 to 60 weight ratio. The mixed composition can be applied in films ranging from less than 5 mils to more than 150 mils in thickness. The EP41 -IND epoxy resin system cures completely even at low temperatures and in high humidity conditions to form smooth tack-free linings and coatings. It can be applied even on vertical surfaces without dripping. The cured material exhibits excellent chemical resistance to water, organic and inorganic acids, bases such as sodium hydroxide and ammonium hydroxide, petroleum hydrocarbons including fuels and hydraulic fluids, ethylene glycol, ethanol, butanol and many other chemicals. Successful applications include linings and coatings for concrete, metal and various cement tanks and piping installations, various marine coatings, tank coatings of ships for crude oil and ballast sea water, coatings for pulp tanks in paper mills; coatings for effluent treatment; condensers, oil coolers, piers, bulkheads, offshore drilling towers, also chemically resistant flooring, etc.
