Master Bond Polymer System EP41 is a 100% reactive, two component epoxy resin compound for high performance, chemically resistant bonding, sealing, coating and encapsulation. It is readily prepared for use by mixing the resin (A) and the hardener (B) components with a non-critical 100/60 mix ratio. The mixed low viscosity composition can be applied in a wide range of thickness for bonding, sealing, coatings and encapsulations in film thicknesses from several mils to more than 3 inches. The Master Bond EP41 system cures completely with minimal shrinkage at ambient or more quickly at elevated temperatures even in the presence of moisture. The cured bonds, seals, coatings and encapsulants feature high physical strength properties, superior thermal stability and remarkably high chemical resistance to water, inorganic acids, alkalis, salts, many organic solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, gasoline and other fuels, hydraulic oils etc. Successful applications range from chemical and fuel resistant bonding and sealing on both metallic and nonmetallic substrates to high quality coatings and encapsulations of electronic, optical and mechanical components and/or assemblies. Master Bond Polymer System EP41 is particularly recommended for uses requiring both high chemical resistance and excellent electrical insulation properties upon pronged exposure to unfavorable environmental conditions including moisture, fuels, elevated temperatures and aggressive chemicals.
