Master Bond Polymer System EP41 HT is a solvent-free, two component high performance epoxy compound designed for applicatbons where resistance to radiation, ethylene oxWe and steam sterilization as well as superior strength and thermal stability are required. The cured EP41HT compound is an excellent adhesive/sealant and conforms to Sections 175.10⁵ and 175.300 of the FDA Register. It is readily prepared for use by mixing the resin (A) and the hardener (B) components with a non-critical 100 to 60 weight ratio The mixed composition can be applied in film thicknesses ranging from less than 3 to more than 120 mils without affecting desirable performance parameters. Master Bond Polymer System EP41 HT cures readily at ambient or more quickly at elevated temperatures even in the presence ot moisture. Thenured epoxy compound is resistant not only to various types of sterilization but also to inorganic and organic acids, alkalis, many organic solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, etc. It features superior electrical insulation properties and can be used for service up to 400°F. Successful applications including the bonding and sealing of many medical devices especially where repeated exposure to varbous sterilization procedures is indicated as well as bonding electrical and mechanical components where chemical and heat resistance are primary performance requirements.
