MASTER BOND POLYMER SYSTEM EP42
Two component toughened thermally stable
anhydride cure-type epoxy resin with excellent physical and
electrical properties, thermal shock resistance and adhesion to metals

Master Bond Polvmer System EP42 is a unique two component toughened thermally stable anhydride cure-type of epoxy resin featuring excellent physical strengths and electrical insulating propertles, thermal shock resistance, adhesion to metals. The EP42 resin system is formulated by mixing 100 parts of component A with 130 parts of component B by weight. The pot life of the mixture is long - more than 8 hours at ambient temperature about 4 hours at 90°C. Cure is effected by heating at 150°C for 4 to 6 hours.

The cured EP42 resin system exhibits quite satisfactory physical strengths and greatly superior electrical properties compared to epoxy resins cured with diamines or polyamides. Thermal shock resistance is excellent. There is no cracking or separation of resin from metal over an exceptionally wide range of temperatures. Typrcal properties of the Master nond Polymer System EP42 are summarized below. The EP42 System can be supplied in both filled (silica) and unfilled forms in various colors as desired.
