Master Bond Polymer System LTX 128 is a newly developed fast drying high performance waterborne aliphatic polyester urethane laminating adhesive featuring a low activation temperature and excellent adhesive properties as well as remarkably high hot water immersion resistance. This low VOC C1.3%) polymer composition is furnished as a light tan milky liquid with a 38% solids content and a pH 8.0. It has a heat seal activation temperature of as low as 225°F (107°C). Adhesion to such diverse substrates as vinyl type polymers, polyesters, polyurethanes, low density polyethylenes as well as ABS and aluminum foils etc is outstanding. Master Bond Polymer System LTX128 has impressively high physical strength properties such as a tensile strength of 2400 psi a modulus of 230 psi and in excess of 620% elongation. Typical properties of this unique adhesive compound are summarized below. A special cross linking agent called CRA 128 is available for applications where long term water resistance has to be maximized. A recommended addition is 2% based on the weight of the latex. Full adhesive strength properties are developed after lamination.
