Master Bond Polymer System MB600 Product Description

MASTER BOND POLYMER SYSTEM MB600
Heat Resistant, Water Soluble Adhesive For Temporary Bonding Applications

Presently available adhesives for temporary bonding such as waxes, hot melts, and various solvent compositions lack heat resistance, strength, dimensional stability and are difficult to remove without surface contamination. Master Bond's newly developed MB600 adhesive provides an excellent, cost effect alternative to the deficiencies of the currently used temporary adhesives. Master Bond MB600 adhesive is a single component, storage stable, inorganic compound which features heat resistance properties and bonds well to metals, ceramics, glass, wood as well as most plastics and rubbers. It cures readily at ambient temperatures, but can be accelerated at moderately elevated temperatures. Heat to between 200/220°F for 20 minutes to remove excess moisture, followed by 20 minutes at between 300/400°F for final cure. It is completely odorless, non-toxic and non-flammable. The cured MB600 adhesive is water soluble and does not leave any undesirable contaminants on the previously bonded surfaces. The product exhibits outstanding thermal stability up to 1500°F. If heated to higher temperatures i.e. above 1400-1500°F the product becomes quite water insoluble.

Master Bond MB600 is a superior electrical insulator. It is an aqueous liquid and does not contain any volatile solvents. Additives such as Calcium Chloride, Cement and Lime can be utilized for specific applications where partial or complete insolubility to water is required. Master Bond MB600 is the perfect solution for temporary bonding applications where easy processing, heat stability, maintenance of the dimensional stability and ease of removal are desired.
