Master Sil 149 is a 2 part optically clear, flexible condensation cured liquid silicone which, after the addition of curing agent 149, cures at room temperature to a tough, resilient silicone rubber potting and encapsulation compound. Master Sil 149 is used for potting and encapsulation of voltage regulators, high voltage transformers, as well as optical and electronic assemblies. Its' unique blend of mechanical and electrical properties offer protection to sensitive electronic components and assemblies from dust, moisture, ozone, thermal shock and vibration. Condensation cured silicones are not recommended for applications which are completely sealed prior to full cure. An "escape" path is required to allow for the release of non-hazardous biproducts formed during the mixing process which promotes completion of the curing cycle.
