Designed for composite bonding, liquid shim epoxies exhibit high compressive strength, abrasion resistance and, most importantly, outstanding gap filling capabilities. These systems can also bond dissimilar substrates with different coefficients of thermal expansion. Available in one and two part formulations, they are commonly used in aerospace applications, such as composite rib-to-skin assembly and other load bearing structures. Systems guard against fuel, water ingression and microcracking.
