Inside Our Lab

image

Master Bond offers epoxies and silicones listed as Underwriters Laboratories (UL) products. Epoxies are used in a specific manner as potting or encapsulating compounds, while silicones can be used as either adhesives or sealants. These epoxies are “self extinguishing” and comprehensively tested by UL. Our systems are rated to UL 94V-0, the highest level of flame retardancy. The other ratings are UL 94V-1 and UL 94V-2. Additionally, UL rates these epoxies for temperatures up to 90°C. Our one part RTV silicone systems are rated for UL 94V-0 or UL 94V-1, depending on the thickness of the layer. Learn more.
