Testing Epoxies for Resistance to Sulfuric Acid

Master Bond recently tested a range of epoxy compounds for their ability to withstand prolonged exposure to sulfuric acid. While typical epoxy systems would normally degrade over time under these harsh conditions, the tested compounds maintained excellent hardness when immersed in a solution of 98% sulfuric acid over a span of 6 months. Click above to see which of the epoxies were most successful in resisting sulfuric acid.
