How to Select an Adhesive for ASTM C633 Tensile Testing |
ASTM C633 tests for adhesion or cohesion strength of thermal spray coatings. This test sets out to determine the degree of adhesion or bonding strength of a coating to substrate. The adhesive and substrate are subjected to a tensile load to quantify the strength of the coating.
Master Bond offers two products used in ASTM C633 applications, flowable EP15 and a non drip EP15ND-2. Both are easy to use, single component systems with an unlimited working life at room temperature, that bond well to flame spray coatings. A thickening agent may be added to EP15, to alter the viscosity of the material, if needed. Read this Tech Tip, and watch the accompanying video, to see how EP15 can be applied and thickened according to your needs. |
