Master Bond EP62-1HTND is a two component epoxy system with a long working life at ambient temperature. The mix ratio is a forgiving 100 to 5 by weight. Upon mixing, it has a non-drip paste consistency with no flow. The working life of 100 grams is 12-24 hours at room temperature.
There are two cure schedule options, both require the addition of heat. These include 60-70 minutes at 176-212°F [80-100°C] or 20-30 minutes at 257°F [125°C]. To obtain optimum properties, post curing at 212-302°F [100-150°C] for 3-5 hours is recommended. When cured using the optimum schedule, EP62-1HTND displays robust temperature resistance with a glass transition temperature ranging from 145-155°C. It offers excellent resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals—particularly acids, as well as many bases and solvents—even at elevated temperatures. EP62-1HTND is a dependable electrically insulating material. The service temperature range is -60°F to +450°F. The color of Part A is translucent and Part B is dark brown. It is well suited for many rigorous applications in aerospace, electronic and specialty OEM, among other industries, especially where high temperature resistance and the ability to withstand hostile chemicals is needed.
