Master Bond EP37-3LV was selected by an inventor developing a leakproof underwater digital camera. The key properties and conditions requirements included electrical insulation, optical clarity, water resistance and ability to withstand a deep ocean environment. Additionally, it was selected for its long working life (over 2 hours for a 100 g batch) and low exotherm upon curing.

“In one variant of construction the digital electronic camera is potted inside and out to be within a solid block of optically clear dielectric material, preferably plastic and more preferably clear epoxy resin such as Master Bond EP37-3LV.”1
