Product Description
Master Bond EP21LSCL-2Med is a two component, low viscosity epoxy resin system featuring superb optical clarity. This system has a forgiving mix ratio of 100 to 20 by weight. The recommended cure schedule is overnight at room temperature followed by 3-5 hours at 140-175°F. It has exceptionally low exotherm and a long working life of 6 to 8 hours for a 100 gram mass. This compound is 100% reactive, with no solvents or diluents, and has low shrinkage upon curing.
EP21LSCL-2Med bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, glass, composites, ceramics as well as many rubber and plastic materials. EP21LSCL-2Med is a superb electrical insulator. This property, combined with its low exotherm, makes it highly effective in larger potting and encapsulation applications. EP21LSCL-2Med is specially formulated to have minimal non-yellowing tendencies.
The system features good chemical resistance to water, most liquid sterilants and EtO sterilization. The service temperature range is from -60°F to +250°F. EP21LSCL-2Med is an excellent candidate for medical devices with optical components such as endoscopes, medical lasers, and imaging systems, to name a few.
