Product Description

Master Bond EP24 is a two component, room temperature curing epoxy adhesive, sealant, coating, and encapsulating system featuring outstanding physical strength properties, convenient handling and a relatively fast setting time. This moderate viscosity system has a forgiving one to one mix ratio by weight or by volume. EP24 cures readily at ambient or elevated temperatures, as noted in the table below. The optimum cure schedule is overnight at room temperature followed by 60-90 minutes at 135-165°F. EP24 contains no solvents or diluents and has very low shrinkage upon curing.

EP24 bonds well to a variety of substrates including metals, composites, glass, ceramics and many rubbers and plastics. EP24 has an attractive curing profile as it has a longer working life than a 5 minute epoxy, but is faster setting than more standard two part epoxies. Additionally, it has commendable dimensional stability and very low shrinkage upon curing. It has good resistance to many chemicals including water, oils and fuels. It offers very fine electrical insulation properties. EP24 has good resistance to thermal cycling as well as impact and shock. The color of Part A is gray and Part B is amber. The service temperature range is -60°F to +250°F. This multifaceted system can be used in many different applications including those in aerospace, electronic, optical, OEM and repair, among many others.
