Product Description

Master Bond EP62-1HT is a two component epoxy system with a long working life at ambient temperature. The mix ratio is a forgiving 100 to 5 by weight. Upon mixing, it is a moderate viscosity system that flows well. The working life of 100 grams is 12-24 hours at room temperature.

There are a few cure schedule options, all requiring the addition of heat. These include 60-70 minutes at 176-212°F [80-100°C] or 20-30 minutes at 257°F [125°C]. To obtain optimum properties, post curing at 212-302°F [100-150°C] for 3-5 hours is recommended. Upon curing with the optimum schedule EP62-1HT displays robust temperature resistance with a glass transition temperature ranging from 150-155°C. It is highly resistant to many aggressive chemicals, most notably acids, but also many bases and solvents, even at elevated temperatures (see the chart below). EP62-1HT is a dependable electrically insulating material. The service temperature range is -60°F to +450°F. The color of Part A is clear and Part B is dark brown. A non-drip version is also available, called EP62-1HTND. It is well suited for many rigorous applications in aerospace, electronic and specialty OEM, among other industries, especially where high temperature resistance and the ability to withstand hostile chemicals is needed.
