Product Description

Master Bond EP63 is a one component, moderate viscosity epoxy for bonding and sealing. It is not premixed and frozen, and requires elevated temperatures to cure. A recommended cure schedule is 3-4 hours at 80°C to 90°C. Post curing at 125°C for 1-2 hours will augment physical properties and chemical resistance. It is a true one part system, and has an unlimited working life at room temperature. It must be stored in the refrigerator. The cured system provides excellent dimensional stability and low shrinkage. It is 100% reactive and contains no solvents or diluents.

EP63 bonds effectively to a diverse range of substrates including metal, ceramics, many plastics and composites. It is particularly notable for its resistance to numerous chemicals such as acids, bases, solvents, fuels, and oils. The system is serviceable over a wide temperature range from -80°F to +500°F. The color of EP63 is clear. It also functions as a reliable electrical insulator, even at higher temperatures and frequencies. EP63 is well suited for high-tech applications requiring a combination of strong physical properties, chemical resistance, and retention of electrical insulation. Typical uses include optical, aerospace, electronics, and specialty OEM applications.
