Two part epoxy for bonding featuring convenient processing and high temperature resistance

Key Features

  • Flowable and thixotropic
  • Very long open time
  • Superior electrical insulation properties
  • Excellent physical strength profile

Product Description

Master Bond EP132 is a two part epoxy that features high temperature resistance and straight forward processing. It is a thixotropic, flowable system with a mix ratio of 100 to 150 by weight. It has a very long open time of 3-5 days and requires oven curing at 250-300°F. A typical cure schedule is 2 hours at 125°C followed by 3 hours at 150°C. For optimum properties, this should be followed with a post cure of 3-4 hours at 350°F. Upon full cure the Tg is about 205-210°C.

EP132 has excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates including metals, composites, glass, ceramics as well as many rubbers and plastics. This epoxy has a service temperature range of -60°F to +550°F. EP132 also has outstanding electrical and physical strength properties. It offers superior resistance to water, oils, acids, bases, fuels and many solvents. The color of Part A is amber and Part B is off white. EP132 is also available in a paste version called EP132ND2. It should be noted that EP132 is somewhat exothermic and should be used for bonding applications. However, its temperature resistance and other properties enable it to be considered for used in aerospace, electronic, optical and specialty OEM applications.
