  • Not premixed and frozen
  • High glass transition temperature
  • Meets ISO 10993-5

Product Description

Master Bond EP4CL-80Med is a one part, optically clear, very low viscosity epoxy for bonding, sealing and coating. It will cure easily at 80°C to 85°C in 60-90 minutes or at 100°C in 10-15 minutes. Since it is not premixed and frozen, it is a true one part system, and has an unlimited working life at room temperature. It should be stored in the refrigerator. EP4CL-80Med possesses excellent dimensional stability and low shrinkage upon curing.

EP4CL-80Med bonds well to a several substrates such as metals, composites, ceramics and many plastics. It has exceptionally robust physical strength properties, especially, tensile strength and modulus. It has superb light transmission from 360 nm to 1500 nm. Its low viscosity allows it to be applied by brushing, spraying, and in some situations, can be spin coated onto a substrate.

EP4CL-80Med has good resistance to a wide variety of sterilization methods, including autoclaving, dry heat, radiation, chemical sterilants and most notably, vaporized hydrogen peroxide. This epoxy is a reliable electrical and thermal insulator, and its service temperature range is -62°C to +232°C (-80°F to +450°F). EP4CL-80Med can be considered in a large array of medical applications including endoscope production and repair, surgical devices, or virtually any medical instrumentation where an optically clear, medical grade epoxy is required.
