Applications

MasterSil 150 is a two part condensation cured liquid silicone which, after the addition of curing agent 150, cures at room temperature to a tough, resilient silicone rubber potting and encapsulation compound. MasterSil 150 is used for potting and encapsulation of voltage regulators, high voltage transformers, as well as optical and electronic assemblies. Its unique blend of mechanical and electrical properties offer protection to sensitive electronic components and assemblies from dust, moisture, ozone, thermal shock and vibration. Condensation cured silicones are not recommended for applications which are completely sealed prior to full cure. An "escape" path is required to allow for the release of non-hazardous biproducts formed during the mixing process which promotes completion of the curing cycle.
