Product Description

Master Bond EP42HT-2AO-1 Black is a two component epoxy adhesive, sealant, coating and casting system with a number of noteworthy features. It has a forgiving mix ratio of 100 to 40 by weight along with very good flow properties. It cures readily at ambient temperatures or more rapidly at elevated temperatures. To optimize the properties, the best cure schedule is overnight at room temperature, followed by 2-3 hours at 150-200°F.

EP42HT-2AO-1 Black has good thermal conductivity, while still maintaining excellent electrical insulation values. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, glass, ceramics, rubbers and plastics. Since this system contains filler, an added benefit is enhanced dimensional stability and very low shrinkage upon curing. EP42HT-2AO-1 Black has lower exotherm and is castable to thicknesses up to and exceeding 2-3 inches. It resists chemicals quite well, especially water, oils and fuels. This epoxy is also special in that it is cryogenically serviceable. Its temperature range is 4K to +400°F. Additionally, it meets the NASA low outgassing standard. This highly versatile system can be used in aerospace, electronic, optical, medical, specialty OEM as well as applications where vacuum compatibility is needed.
