Our new video offers a look at MasterSil 930’s enhanced resistance to high temperature and a wide range of chemicals including fuels, oils and solvents. This fluorosilicone system has a paste viscosity and is well suited for bonding, sealing, coating and formed-in-place gasketing applications. As a one part formulation, it cures quickly based on the level of humidity and the thickness of the layer.

Master Bond MasterSil 930 is a unique one component fluorosilicone system for bonding, sealing, coating and formed-in-place gaskets with enhanced chemical resistance. It is available for use in convenient 80 gram tubes. MasterSil 930’s paste viscosity allows for easy and precise application, even on vertical surfaces. Similar to other one part silicones, its curing mechanism is based on the humidity level. The higher it is, the faster the cure and thinner sections cure more quickly than thicker ones. MasterSil 930 is a relatively fast curing system, and depending upon the application, the tack free time can range from 20 to 30 minutes. The full cure is typically about 3-4 days at ambient temperatures and humidity.

MasterSil 930’s most notable feature is its chemical resistance. It can withstand exposure to water, many oils, fuels, greases, refrigerants, along with some acids and bases. In fact, it holds up exceptionally well to full immersion in a concentrated solution of potassium hydroxide for 30 days. This toughened compound can withstand the most aggressive types of thermal cycling as well as mechanical and thermal shock. Elongation at 75°F is 300 to 500%. Its service temperature range is -85°F to +450°F.
