Nanosilica Filled, Optically Clear Epoxy Features Superior Electrical Insulation Properties

Master Bond EP113 is a nanosilica filled epoxy that delivers enhanced dimensional stability and exceptionally low shrinkage upon curing. This optically clear, two component system is well suited for applications in the aerospace, electronic and OEM industries.

Featuring an ultra low mixed viscosity of 80-140 cps, EP113 can be readily mixed using a 100 to 80 ratio by weight. It has a long working life of 2-3 days for a 100 gram batch. It should be noted that EP113 requires oven curing. Its low viscosity combined with its superb electrical insulation profile makes this product well suited for potting, encapsulating, coating and sealing. EP113 adheres well to many substrates including metals, composites, glass, ceramics and plastics.

As a toughened system, it has good resistance to rigorous thermal cycling and shock. EP113 offers a high strength profile with a tensile strength ranging from 12,000-13,000 psi and a compressive strength of 24,000-26,000 psi. This formulation is serviceable over the wide temperature range of -100°F to +450°F. Additionally, EP113 offers chemical resistance to water, oils, acids, bases and fuels.

EP113 is available for use in ½ pint, pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon kits. It has a shelf life of 1 year at room temperature in its original, unopened containers.

Toughened, High Strength, Two Component Epoxy Offers Chemical, Abrasion and High Temperature Resistance

Featuring a silicon carbide filler, Master Bond Supreme 45HTQ-4 is a toughened epoxy for high performance bonding, sealing, coating and casting. This specialty system can be used for a wide variety of special industrial, aerospace, OEM and oil processing applications, especially in downhole situations.

Supreme 45HTQ-4 has the unique combination of exceptional chemical, temperature and abrasion resistance. Serviceable from -100°F to +450°F, it is capable of withstanding rigorous thermal cycling. This compound offers high tensile lap shear, compressive and tensile strength of 1,400-1,600 psi, 24,000-26,000 psi and 8,000-9,000 psi, respectively. Supreme 45HTQ-4 also retains its strength at elevated temperatures. It is a dimensionally stable system with low shrinkage upon curing. Additionally, this epoxy has excellent electrical insulation properties with a dielectric constant at 60 Hz of 4.6 and a volume resistivity exceeding 1014 ohm-cm.

Supreme 45HTQ-4 has a mix ratio of 100 to 30 by weight and a thixotropic paste consistency. It features a long pot life of more than 12 hours at room temperature for a 100 gram batch. This compound requires oven curing at 250-300°F with various cure schedules. A post cure of 4 hours at 350°F will optimize properties. Bond strength to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, ceramics, rubbers and most plastics is excellent.

This gray colored system is available for use in standard packaging options ranging from ½ pint to 5 gallon kits as well as specialty Semkits. Supreme 45HTQ-4 has a shelf life of 6 months at ambient temperatures.

Non-Yellowing UV Curable System Has Superior Abrasion Resistance

Master Bond UV15X-6NM-2 is a one component UV curing urethane acrylate system formulated for a variety of bonding, sealing, coating and encapsulation applications. This moderate viscosity product features flexibility, toughness and abrasion resistance. It is widely used for fiber-optic, optical, electronic, semiconductor, microelectronic and laser applications.

UV15X-6NM-2 features an elongation exceeding 200%, which contributes to its ability to withstand rigorous thermal cycling and mechanical shocks. It is serviceable over the wide temperature range of -80°F to +250°F. It also has very good chemical resistance, especially to water, cleaning agents and oils. With a refractive index of 1.50, this compound is optically clear and has impressive non-yellowing properties.

This special formulation cures readily in 10-30 seconds when exposed to a UV light source. The rate of cure depends upon the system’s distance from the light source, the thickness of the section and the intensity of the light source. It is not oxygen inhibited. Cures can be obtained in sections approaching 1/4 inch thick. As a reliable electrical and thermal insulator, UV15X-6NM-2 is well suited for potting and encapsulation. It also bonds well to a variety of substrates including glass, plastics including polycarbonates and acrylics, composites, metals and many types of rubbers.

UV15X-6NM-2 is available for use in standard packaging options from ½ pints to 5 gallons. For easy dispensing, this product can be purchased in 3 cc to 60 cc syringe applicators.

One Component Epoxy Adhesive Has Ultra Low Thermal Resistance and Meets NASA Low Outgassing Specifications

Master Bond Supreme 18TC is a single component epoxy adhesive that contains a blend of special thermally conductive fillers. This smooth paste system can be applied in bond lines as thin as 10-15 microns. It offers an exceptionally low thermal resistance of 5-7 x 10-6 K•m2/W and a thermal conductivity of 22-25 BTU•in/ft2•hr•°F [3.17-3.61 W/(m·K)]. Heat transfer capabilities of this product are outstanding. Supreme 18TC also passes NASA low outgassing tests and can be used in applications in the aerospace, electronic, optical, specialty OEM and cryogenic industries.

Supreme 18TC maintains high bond strength properties even when exposed to hostile environmental conditions, including high/low temperatures. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, composites, ceramics and plastics. This compound offers a tensile lap shear strength of 2,200-2,400 psi, a tensile strength of 6,000-7,000 psi, a t-peel strength of 5-10 pli and a compressive strength of 22,000-24,000 psi.

Significantly, Supreme 18TC is a one part system that requires no mixing. Its working life is essentially “unlimited”. It requires heat curing for 60-90 minutes at 250-300°F. A post cure of a few hours at 350°F will optimize performance properties. Supreme 18TC features a low shrinkage upon curing, a low CTE and a high degree of dimensional stability. This system is also a reliable electrical insulator.

Supreme 18TC is designed to withstand thermal cycling and shock. It is serviceable over the wide temperature range of 4K to +400°F. This formulation is available for use in a variety of standard packaging options in sizes ranging from ounces to gallons.

Toughened, Room Temperature Curing Epoxy Offers A Long Working Life

Developed for high tech bonding and sealing applications, Master Bond Supreme 11HTLP is a two part epoxy that is often selected for the aerospace, electronics and specialty OEM industries. It combines user friendly processing with a high physical strength profile.

Supreme 11HTLP is formulated to have impressive toughness, which imparts high bond strength of over 3,200 psi and 20 pli, respectively in the shear and peel mode. This compound bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, glass, ceramics, composites, rubbers and plastics. Its toughness also allows it to withstand aggressive thermal cycling as well as impact and shock. Serviceable over the wide temperature range of -100°F to +400°F is outstanding.

Supreme 11HTLP has a one to one mix ratio by weight or volume along with a working life of 90-120 minutes for a 100 gram batch. Thorough mixing is facilitated by color coding as Part A is gray and Part B is amber. It has a high viscosity, but maintains flow properties. This system can be cured at room temperature or more rapidly at elevated temperatures. Upon curing, Supreme 11HTLP exhibits low shrinkage and dimensional stability. Additionally, it is readily machinable.

Featuring a volume resistivity exceeding 1013 ohm-cm, Supreme 11HTLP delivers reliable electrical insulation values. Resistance to many chemicals, including water, oil and fuels is excellent. 100% reactive, this adhesive/sealant is available for use in ½ pint, pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon container kits.

Thermally Conductive, Electrically Insulative Two Part Silicone Meets NASA Low Outgassing Specifications

Master Bond MasterSil 972TC-LO passes the rigorous requirements for low outgassing per ASTM E595 specifications. It is particularly well suited for use in vacuum environments as well as applications in the aerospace, electronic, opto-electronic and specialty OEM industries. This two part silicone system offers convenient handling for bonding, sealing, coating and potting.

MasterSil 972TC-LO is an electrically insulator that has a thermal conductivity of 7-9 BTU•in/ft²•hr•°F [1.01-1.30 W/(m•K)]. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, glass, ceramics, rubbers as well as many types of and plastics. Highly flexible, MasterSil 972TC-LO has an elongation of 40-80%, withstands aggressive thermal cycling and resists mechanical shock. This heat dissipative silicone system has a wide service temperature range is -120°F to +400°F.

This addition cured system does not require air for cross-linking. It features low shrinkage upon curing even in thick or wide cross sections. MasterSil 972TC-LO has a moderate viscosity of 30,000-40,000 cps with good flow properties and has a one to one mix ratio by weight. It has a long working life of 6-10 hours at room temperature. This compound is 100% solids and has a white color. Mastersil 972TC-LO is available in 50 gram syringe kits with additional sizes upon request.
