Master Bond's packaging technology is suitable for both one and two component systems. They are engineered for use in applications ranging from design, production to maintenance, repair and field service. Master Bond's packaging adheres to the strictest quality standards to assure consistent reproducible reliability. It offers environmentally safe and cost effective solutions for easy handling and dispensing of the Master Bond product line.

Standard Packaging

Master Bond standard packagingA simple, versatile and cost effective packaging system employs metal, plastic and glass containers of various sizes. Both open and closed head containers are offered to facilitate ease of usage. Various type closures are available for easy application. The containers are offered in various shapes — from oblong to cylindrical as desired.

Standard sizes range from half-pints to 55 gallon drums. Typical metal container sizes are half-pint, pint, quart, gallon, 5 gallon and 55 gallon drums. The most widely used plastic containers go up to 5 gallon sizes. Lined containers are available for special formulations to maintain the integrity of the product quality. All containers meet pertinent DOT requirements. Premeasured packaging is available in both metal and plastic containers for 2 component systems.

squeeze bottleMaster Bond's line of anaerobic and cyanoacrylate adhesives are available in plastic squeeze bottles. Common sizes for anaerobic systems are 10cc, 35cc, 250cc and 1 liter containers. Anaerobic compounds are filled only to a prescribed level to maintain oxygen in containers and prevent premature solidification. Cyanoacrylate systems are available in 1/3 ounce, 1 ounce, 1 lb. and 50 lb. units. Closures used for anaerobic and cyanoacrylate squeeze bottles are designed so an operator can apply to confined areas.

Flexible Divider Pouch (Bubble Pack)

flexible divider pouchThe two part flexible divider pouch is safe, efficient, reliable and cost effective. It is available in sizes ranging from 1 gm to 250 gm. Such pouches can be used for compounds with variable mix ratios. Strict quality control standards are employed to ensure consistent reliability. They are ideal for bonding, sealing, coating, potting applications and can be used in manufacturing or field use environments.

This system consists of a two part flexible divider pouch containing pre-measured amounts of unmixed resin and hardener. Simply remove the plastic divider clip and mix the A & B components. When there is a uniform consistency and no color streaks, snip off a corner of the pouch and dispense.

Syringes & Cartridges

assorted syringes and cartridgesMaster Bond offers a wide range of syringes and cartridges for dispensing. They can handle a wide range of viscosities from free flowing low viscosity liquids to heavy high viscosity pastes. Syringes are available in glass and plastics such as polyethylene.

picture of a semkitStandard sizes range from 3cc to over 60cc. They are designed to be applied with manual or air actuated automatic dispensers. For UV curing applications, they are available in opaque black color.

Master Bond has available a wide range of cartridges and mixing kits. Both barrier and injection types are available for two part systems. Sizes range from 1 oz. to 20 oz. The mixing kits are designed to accurately meter and dispense two components in precisely controlled ratios. Disposable static mixers are also available for optimum user convenience.

Rugged, durable cartridges for dispensing one component systems are available in a wide range of sizes. They are furnished in 1 ounce to 20 ounces. These cartridges feature different size openings to accommodate fluids with a wide range of flow properties.

Gun Applicator

Master Bond's gun applicatorMaster Bond Inc. offers a simple to use gun applicator for dispensing two component epoxy systems. Separate disposable cartridges are filled with the appropriate epoxy system. The cartridges have two barrels — one for the "A" component and one for the "B" component. They are molded together as one to house the two components. When prepared for use the cartridge is inserted in the gun. Thorough blending of materials is achieved by utilizing a motionless mixer consisting of a series of stationary baffles aligned in the tube.

Cartridge sizes are 50 ml, 200 ml and 400 ml. A variety of different mix ratios can be used. The gun is compatible for epoxies with mix ratios of 1:1, 2:1, 4:1 and 10:1. The gun applicator is manually operated. A pneumatic-powered gun applicator is also available. In addition a wide range of mixers can be used for the proper mix and flow rate.

Premixed & Frozen Epoxy Systems

Premixed and frozen syringeA line of epoxy and other compounds is available in pre-mixed and frozen syringes and cartridges. Easy to use, these systems require no mixing and cure at room temperature. They are available in sizes ranging from 1cc to 6 oz and are engineered for use in both manual applications and automatic dispensing equipment. A wide variety of systems, including electrically conductive and thermally conductive grades are available.

Master Bond's pre-mixed and frozen process includes thoroughly blending the two components, degassing them to remove entrapped air and then freezing the system. Batch-to-batch quality is achieved by complete in-process testing of each batch. The pre-mixed and frozen systems are shipped in specially insulated cartons packed with dry ice. When stored at -40°C (-40°F) the shelf life is 6 months. Physical and handling properties are maintained over the product's shelf life.

Die/Laser Cut Preforms

film preformfilm preformMaster Bond's line of epoxy films can be laser or die cut to different configurations to meet specific application requirements. Preforms are easy to use, require no mixing, enhance productivity yield, save time and reduce waste. They are available in thicknesses of 2 to 8 mils and up to 16 inches square. The standard thickness is 3 mils. They offer excellent bond strength to both similar and dissimilar substrates plus high chemical and moisture resistance.

These formulations are available in electrically conductive, thermally conductive and electrically insulative versions. Preforms process easily and squeeze-out during bonding is minimal. They do not need to be stored with refrigeration. Also, preforms cure quickly at moderately elevated temperatures. Custom formulations can be designed for applications requiring special temperature resistance, chemical resistance, flexibility etc.

UltraViolet Specialty Packaging

UV speciality packagingMaster Bond Inc. has developed a highly effective custom resin packaging system for UV curable adhesives/sealants and coatings. The Master Bond system includes a "double light barrier" — the UV compound is packaged in a light blocking black applicator and the syringe itself is sealed in a black plastic pouch until ready for use. All packaging processes occur in a totally light free environment. This system greatly lengthens shelf life at ambient temperatures.

Syringe sizes range from 1 cc to 30 cc. A variety of viscosities and types of compounds can be packaged in this fashion. The Master Bond system prevents premature contamination of the compounds. Precise premeasured amounts can be safely and efficiently dispensed.
